Event Request

The 501st Legion is committed to protecting our membership and helping local and national agencies protect their communities. As a result, Legion Command has issued a formal advisory to our units against trooping and holding events at this time. We will continue to evaluate and adjust the timeline according to guidelines set forth by Health authorities and local governments.
We are able to provide virtual appearances on a limited basis, please continue to use this same request form for both virtual and in-person appearance requests. Note: the postal code field is required for all request types, but other fields pertaining to in-person appearances do not need to be completed for virtual requests.

Please use this form to request an event and/or appearance. If you have general comments, questions, or technical issues, please use our feedback form.

Note that requests should be made about 2-3 months prior to your event. Bolded items are required. If you have issues submitting the form, please try another browser such as Chrome.

How did you hear about us?

Please read before clicking Submit: The 501st Legion is a volunteer organization and does not accept payment for appearances. If you would like to make a donation in lieu of payment, please see our Charity page for more information. Our membership consists of volunteers, most of whom hold full-time jobs outside of Legion activities. Our ability to satisfy an event request depends on a number of factors including availability of members, location and time of the event, and the significance of the event. Events which directly or indirectly benefit the community and/or charity organizations generally receive a better chance of a 501st appearance than private functions (e.g., birthday parties, weddings). As a general rule, the 501st Legion does not appear at events or functions that are non-Star Wars-related unless coordinated through Lucasfilm Ltd. The 501st Legion focuses on Star Wars villain characters, but we recommend inquiring with our sister organization, the Rebel Legion, should you desire Star Wars hero, Jedi or Rebel characters at your event.

Also of note, at the request of Lucasfilm, LTD. it is the policy of our organization to refrain from any lightsaber duelling, mock fighting or demonstrations between the characters and the public and amongst the characters in a public setting where injuries could occur. Thank you for your understanding.

Anyone submitting a request through this form should be someone who has authority of the event and should be over 18 years of age. The information collected above will be used in relation to your request of an appearance from us; clicking submit gives your consent for us to do so, as outlined in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

The 501st Legion is a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans. While it is not sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd., it follows generally accepted ground rules for Star Wars fan groups.
